Hotel Paris Las Vegas
67I’ve been to Paris Las Vegas more than a few times. Located across the street from the famed fountains of the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Paris is in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. Easily assessable to other casinos for those that like to walk. Paris Hotel & Casino has miniature replicas of the Eiffel Tower, the ersatz Arc de Triomphe, the La Fountain de Mers and the Palais Garnier home to the well know Phantom of the Opera. It also has a colorful hot air balloon that signifies the first human flight that took place in 1793 in Paris, France.
Everyone knows that the Eiffel Tower is an iron structure and was the world’s tallest structure (300m high) when it was built in 1889 for the World Fair for one million dollars. Right? The Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower is 460 feet high and overlooks the Las Vegas Strip. It also houses the Eiffel Tower Restaurant and the Eiffel Tower Experience an observation deck. Note: Originally the Paris Eiffel Tower was planned to be full scale but had to be reduce because of the airport and still cost 20 million.
The ‘Arc de Triomphe” was contracted by Napoleon I in 1806 as a memorial of his armies. Never completed until 1836, the arc is fashioned after the Arch of Constantine of Rome. It is the largest arc in the world with relief carvings of heroic types. Today when celebrating national pride the French hold the services at the Arc de Triomphe.
There are four relief carvings at the base of the four pillars to commemorate the triumph of 1810, the resistance, peace and the departure of the volunteers in 1792 that shows a figure of liberty leading revolutionaries to battle. Angels adorn the ceiling and outer corners, names etched into the wall are those of dead soldiers and underneath the arc are graves of French WWI soldiers.
The replica of La Fontaine des Mers is not complete. The original at the Place de la Concorde has additional mermaid sculptures on the skirt of the fountain. Adorn with mermaids and mermen grasping fish that sprout water.
The Paris hotel itself is modeled after the Hotel de Ville it is 34 stories tall and each of its 2916 guestrooms/suites feature rich French fabrics, armoires and large marbled bathrooms. The casino has a high sky painted ceiling and is surrounded by shops, restaurants, patisseries and cafes that are decorated with an influx of French ambiance. The cobblestone boulevard of the shopping district has additional cafes, the buffet and even a piano bar. The boulevard attaches Paris with its sister casino Bally’s. From Bally’s you can jump on the monorail and ride to MGM Grand or end up at the Sahara Station on the north end of the strip.
There are many highlights to staying at Paris Hotel & Casino besides the great French restaurants; Mon Ami Gabi where you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of French wine while watching the Bellagio Fountains and The Eiffel Tower Restaurant an upscale restaurant where you can watch the sunset while having your favorite cocktail, there is a European pool on the roof, a Mandara Spa and the nightclub Risque.
Beside the nightclub Paris Hotel & Casino has a variety of bars and lounges where you can listen to a live band, piano bar or DJ for your listening pleasure or play video poker at Gustav’s Casino Bar and the friendly bartenders will give you free cocktails while you play.
Other
entertainment includes Anthony Cools, the King of Sociability is an uncensored hypnosis that
makes his unsuspecting stage of volunteers do naughty things. Must be 18+ to attend. I have personally seen his show 5-6 times and
highly recommend it. He
is known for the 'everyone is buck naked and trying out for a porno movie'
routine, where they think a chair is a porn star and they have to audition in
order to get a much needed part. His
show lasts around 90 minutes and there is a lot of other "good clean dirty
fun", but I don't want to spoil the show for you. I do want to tell you he
always ends his show with a climax.
With everything there is to do at Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas NV, I am sure I haven’t seen everything this charming hotel has to offer. Come this September I get to travel and stay at Paris for free. Yes Free! If you are a member of their rewards program you can accumulate points when playing slots or table games. These points can be used for free meals and free stays.
Ain’t life grand!
